Before reading this please go to this link. (http://www.bigdownload.com/games/world-of-warcraft/pc/world-of-warcraft-carbonite-quest-add-on/)
At the given link you will find the ultimate questing tool. Note that for Carbonite to function optimally you should disable Cartographer and Questhelper.
So you are level 68-70 and wish to dominate the further reaches of northern Azeroth a.k.a Northrend. Now you think okay this should be simple I've been leveling up until now without problems. Well you may be thinking this, yet you wonder,
Where do I go now?
It is quite simple.
When you go to Undercity you will discover that there is a new zeppelin. This zeppelin goes to the new area for level 68-70's named Howling Fjord.
This area is easy to level in for about one to two levels due to some dysfunctional quests. However try whilst leveling to kill as many mobs as possible. This ensures that you do not get stuck later and have to grind mobs solidly to level. Now when you leave this area you should be late into level 71 or just 72. Now, because of Grizzly Hills' nature you will not be able to level there yet. So this is where we go back all the way to Orgrimmar. At Orgrimmar's exit/entrance instead of turning left to go to the regular zeppelins you turn right. Here you will discover another new zeppelin. This one will transport you to Borean Tundra. On arrival you will have the immediate opportunity to start questing. Engage all quests and quest until you are level 73. Also it is wise to explore all reaches of the area as there are several horde bases in this zone. Once completed with Borean Tundra you will most likely have discovered a new area namely Dragonblight. This area is where you will get to level 74.
After completing all possible quests in Dragonblight the next best area to target is Grizzly Hills. Here you can most probably obtain level 75 and gain nice experience from the pit fights in Conquest Hold. After you are done in Grizzly Hills you can move up to Zull'drak. This area should theoretically take you up to level 76 if not 77. Remember to discover all over to make sure you have done all working quests. Then if you are lvl 77 go to Dalaran and purchase Cold Weather Flying from the woman on a hippogryph at Krasus' Landing. If you are still level 76 a suggestion would be to grind till level 77 as flying makes leveling much easier. After obtaining level 77 the wisest choice would be to go to Sholazar Basin. This area has many quests that can be completed to gain at least one level namely level 78. With this you can safely go to Stormy Peaks and do quests until level 79. After completing all possible quests in Stormy Peaks you should have obtained level 79. This means that the last zone is now a piece of cake. You can with safety fly over to Icecrown and do quests here until you have reached level 80.
This is a guide based on my personal leveling experience. I never needed to grind any mobs, because there are enough working quests.
Also a smart trick I picked up is to log out in Dalaran. This ensures that when you log on again you have obtained a large portion of "Rested Experience".
Happy leveling!
