Hey All,

For a long time now MGA has run with cross faction grouping, this has allowed horde and alliance to join same raid/parties and help each other.

As more and more world PvP areas are popping plus our population is now big enoughnot to need cross faction grouping we are thinking of tuning it off.

AND DONT FORGET the ppl that abuse this system, GMs have had many complaints recently about this.

1 ally (normaly a healer) joimning a horde group, healing the horde while they pwn other allies in city raids or just to slaughter a group of allies.

this above issue has upset a few people and we have had MANY MANY MANY requests to dissable cross faction grouping.

Personaly (as a player not a GM) i havnt raided with any horde for a long time as my guild is big enough now , we only do guild raids and inv the odd ally to make numbers up if needed.

Please have you say on this matter as once this topic/poll is closed thats it. dont QQ in game becuase u didnt have your say here.

When/IF this happens this is how it will be after
1, you will be bale to make horde & ally chars
2, /s is faction based
3, all channels (including world) are corss faction
4, no cross faction trading
5, no cross faction AHs
6, no tallent inspecting
7, no cross faction who list
8, no cross faction friends list

TY biglad for the gr8 server and constantly working for its upkeep.

this is a nice decision but now isnt the right time for it.
over population isnt simply enuf to support this new change. we can only do 25 mans at certain time with hordies only but most of the time its impossible.
pls revert the changes
TY

Biglad I agree with you. In essence your idea is great. I'd like it for this server too. I'm just not sure this server is ready for it yet that's all. Maybe 2 guilds would survive at the moment with your proposed changes but all the rest would crumble. Leaving only 2 guilds to jion one per faction if you want to raid.

And yes people have abused the cross faction interaction system. But that was mainly fun with TG. And since their departure I've had not one whisp to abuse this system. In the TG days I got like 20 whisps a day to abuse it.

Yes Biglad your guild and Abu's guild is big enough to survive this. But is the server big enough? That's what I'm asking. Not as a player, not as an Ex gm but as someone who cares about MGA.

Sorry for all my QQ on /world. I reacted kinda pably like many others did :).
To me it's all about the timing. This should happen. But is now the right time for it?

I don't hate the 2 GM run guilds. I'm glad they exist. Good for you both. All I want to see is freedom of choice. As in we can join any guild we want and be assured of a little raid action. Not be limited to just one per faction. And same goes for the MGA economy ingame.

And will the AH and MGA ingame economy survive the change in the fragile state it is in now? Likewise if you remove the corrent cross faction /world. In retail people played same faction with their friends. But here we made friends cross faction. And that would take a strain.

In short Biglad I actually am for the changes you propose. But I really am not sure if now is the right time for them. And how the server will survive under them.

So for the time being "No - I don't want it". Could change in the future but for now that's how I feel.

I personally as a player would like to see how it is to not have Cross Faction. MGA is my ONLY server I have ever played on so I prefer it to be as close to Blizz-Like as possible.

Now that both Ally and Horde are on an equal balance I would think its the perfect time to test it out and see what the outcome is.

If we keep mail and AH open to both factions I'm all for changing.
Coding-wise its a nasty hack to enable it.

Player-wise you can't have any sneak attacks on the opposing faction, you can't kil them without hearing the QQ's in world and nasty comments in world and in private, and this goes both ways. Guilds aside, the factions can do 25 man raids, theres enough ppl on line during the past 4 weekends. We hit a peak again of 120.

I am against it for 100%.

One of the things that is so good with priv servers are often that there are cross-faction communicating, no boundaries, if you make us unable to trade, chat (except world) and such I think, no I am almost certain, that you will loose ALOT of players, and that will make you unable to go 25-man raids and such.

If you also close the AH for cross-faction that will probably be the death of MGA, atleast as it is.

Thats all I have to say, i knew this was coming, just a matter of time, but I do NOT want it!

How about:
There will still be cross faction communication via the world/IRC channel
You can still trade via mail and the AH.
Both factions have enough players to do 25 man raids.

i believe once we turn cross factioning off more and more players will roll horde since we raid more on daily bases than the alliance but i guess it would be worth a try.

Do you actually have a statistic on that? We raid as often, if not more than you. Assumptions .....

We horde do not require ally. It's time for the allies to grow some ...... and man up. I think cross faction should finally be removed completely.

Authority I agree but that kind of talk could drive a lot of people to leave MGA or re-roll their toons horde. And with lots of horde and few allies well then the PvP scene will be really tiny cause not enough allies to participate.

PvP needs to be thought of too. Not just raiding.

Authority, I will give you an infraction next time, eep to the point, be objective without being derogotory toward anyone. Your post has been edited, the last sentence removed.

I am all for cross-faction grouping.
Easier to make raids, more fun, and remember that on each Blizz server there are thousands of active players on each side, and since we don't have that kind of activity here i think it's best that we keep cross-faction. And besides it's one of the features that makes this server so much special than the others!

well today we found yet another player exploiting the pvp bug in cross faction grouping, for me this was antoher nail in the coffin of cross faction grouping.

The poll is now closed and soon the GMs will have a team meeting and we will decide if we gonna keep this function turned on or off.

the poll is self is too close
