THE MAGE
The mage is a DPS caster that specializes in burst damage and area of effect spells. Their primary role in a group at lower levels is damage dealing and crowd control through the use of Polymorph, temporarily changing humanoids and beasts into harmless critters. At end-game levels, mages' damage is supplemented with Counterspell, Remove Curse, and Spellsteal. Mages' utility spells also include conjuring food and drink and the ability to teleport to major cities and open portals for party members. In PvP, Mage deals ranged damage while using snare effects and Polymorph to control enemy players. As damage casters, primary stats are spell power, spell hit rating and spell haste. intellect, stamina, spell crit, and spirit also benefit mages, but to a lesser degree.
Raiding Build/Strategy

this is how i set up my hot bar, and i cast my spells in order 1-
1.Frost-fire bolt/2.Slow/3.Arane blast x2/4.arcane missiles/5.arcane barrage/6.fireblast/7.arcane power/8.mirror image/9.polymorph/10.mana shield/0.trinket/-.trinket (2)/=. Shoot
For a normal mob or spank and tank boss do this:
1.Frostfire Bolt
2.Slow
3.Arcane Blast
4.Arcane Blast another time
5.Arcane Missles becuase Missle Barrage should have activated from the x2 arcane blast
6.Arcane Barrage
7.Fire blast
That should kill most mobs in raiding or pve (solo)
for a boss do that but make sure you keep mana shield up, and use Mirror image when ever you can. And if your mana drops to low use invisibilty, right click out, then use evocation. Make sure you have x80 mana strudels, and 3x mana gems allways ready. U will need them.
