Technical Problems

Hiya All,

As you have prob noticed, since the yearly server downtime for cleaning we have some unplanned downtime.

I am tracking the problem, its either the UPS or main switch.

This has most prob a side effect of the cleaning, after moving everything in a data centre after they been there for a year+, sometimes thigns just break when they are given chance to cool down for 1st time, its a risk you have to take. Do you let them over heat and burn our or break when being moved lol.

I will be monitoring this very closly and sorry for the down time.

Im going to unpack the back up switch today and swap the switches over when i get chance.

I'm new here and I was really wondering why I couldn't login. Everything was good you know? Checking.....authenticating..... handshaking... and BAM disconnected from server xD

Check the Following:
- Your client is on the correct patch (3.3.2)
- Check your realmlist is correct (set realmlist login.mgawow.co.uk)

Thanks for keeping us informed and we all appreciate the dedication you and the Gm's show to the server.A little down time wont hurt us.It just means that I have to get off my butt and actually do something LOL

Hello all, appreciate all of your hard work keeping us in-game. It's a wonderful experience. Small suggestion - if the server/web site crashes, would you mind throwing something up on your twitter account so that people know what's going on? No need for obsessive updates, I'm sure. But like "OwingTuup" said, if you're new here and aren't sure whether it's a personal PC problem or a server problem, it can get frustrating, especially if the forums and/or IRC are inaccessible. Also, since twitter operates independently, it would be an easy way for people to check on the server status, even from their mobile devices.

never crossed my mind lol, the server updates via twitter is done auto and set up months ago i forgot all about it lol

problem located it was the UPS, removed from the system now.
